Q: Is the app in Luganda?

Yes. Each member can set the app to Luganda, Runyankole or Acholi, or to English or Swahili. On Android and the web app, Ateso, Lusoga and Lugbara are there too. The Ugandan languages are in beta.

Giving with MTN MoMo

Your members can give with MTN MoMo, straight to your church's own MoMo Pay merchant code. SoapBox fills in the payment for them. They confirm it with their own PIN, then tap to log their gift. The gift goes straight to your church. SoapBox takes no platform fee on donations, and MTN's own mobile money fees still apply.

Members without a smartphone

Some of your members have a basic phone. No smartphone, no apps, no internet. SoapBox has a place for them too.

Add them to your People list with a name and a mobile number. They need no app and no account.
To reach them by SMS, export your People list with phone numbers from the web app or Android, and send through your church's own SMS provider.

In your language

Each member can set the app itself to Luganda, Runyankole or Acholi, or to English or Swahili. On Android and the web app, Ateso, Lusoga and Lugbara are there too. The Ugandan languages are in beta. ORA, SoapBox's study assistant, can answer Bible questions in Swahili. It's a research aid for study, not a pastor.

Your Bible, free

In the Bible reader, members can open the Luganda Contemporary Bible, or the Swahili Neno Bible, free.

For your church

Your church starts free, on a plan for up to a hundred members. Share your invite code on WhatsApp, straight from the app. When a visitor checks in at the door, they land in Visitor Follow-up, so you can reach out that week. You can also publish a free web page for your church.

Light on data

Data costs money. Turn on Data-Light Mode, and photos inside posts wait until you tap them: always on Android and the web app, and on iPhone whenever you're on mobile data. Bible chapters you've already opened stay readable on your phone, even offline.
