Here is what SoapBox can do for your church in Puerto Rico, today.
Members without a smartphone
Some of your members have a basic phone. No smartphone? No apps? No internet? No problem. SoapBox has a place for them too.
Add them to your People list with a name and a mobile number. They need no app and no account.
To reach them by SMS, export your People list with phone numbers from the app or the web app, and send through your church's own SMS provider.
In Spanish and English
The app runs in English and Spanish, and each member chooses their own language. ORA, SoapBox's study assistant, answers Bible questions in English and Spanish, as a research aid for study. It's not a pastor.
The Bible, free
The Bible reader has Spanish Bibles such as the Nueva Versión Internacional and the Reina Valera 1909, free, with many English translations.
For your church
Your church starts free, for up to a hundred members. Share your invite code on WhatsApp, Facebook, by text message or email, straight from the app. Visitors who check in at the door land in Visitor Follow-up, and you can publish a free web page for your church.
Light on data
Turn on Data-Light Mode, and on mobile data, photos in posts wait until you tap them. Chapters you've already read stay on your phone.
Questions
How do I register my church?
Open app.soapboxsuperapp.com in any browser and register there: Puerto Rico is in its country list today. It reaches the App Store and Google Play apps with their next update. Members can download the app now and join with your invite code.
Can members give through the app?
Not in Puerto Rico yet.
Is the Reina Valera 1960 in the Bible reader?
Not yet. The Reina Valera 1909 is there, with the NVI, the NTV, LBLA and more Spanish translations.
Does SoapBox send the SMS itself?
No. Your church sends through its own SMS provider, using the list you export from SoapBox.
Can I export the list from an iPhone?
Yes. Export it from Android, iPhone or the web app.
