What's New: Week of October 28, 2026
A more honest prayer wall, new countries, Amplify on Instagram, TikTok and X, and volunteer scheduling and voice input coming in the next app update.
Here is what changed in SoapBox between October 22 and October 28, 2026. The biggest additions are in prayer, groups and Amplify, with volunteer scheduling and voice input for ORA coming in the next app update.
Volunteer scheduling, coming in the next app update
Churches will be able to build serving teams and rotas, collect volunteer requests and blockout dates, and see who is serving when. Members will get a My serving view in the iPhone and Android apps, and a simple web page to respond to a serving request. It arrives with the next app update.
Ask ORA by voice, coming in the next app update
You will be able to dictate your question to ORA on iPhone and Android. Speech is recognized on your device, and the app tells you which language is listening.
A more honest prayer wall
The Pray count now reflects people who actually prayed, and you can delete your own prayer request. ORA no longer marks a request as prayed for, because prayer is something people do for one another.
Close a group or ministry, now in the apps
Leaders can close and reopen a group or ministry on iPhone and Android instead of deleting it, so its history is kept.
Giving tools for pastors
Pastors can now connect an outside giving system through a webhook address, test it, and see a delivery log in the pastor console. Refunds now show the refunded amount instead of the original gift. Donations remain a 0% fee passthrough straight to the church.
More countries and a new language in progress
Churches in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Israel, Ukraine and Armenia can now be found in the country picker. The website has new country pages and how-to videos, including a Hebrew video for Israel and Armenian videos. Country Ambassador openings were also posted across Africa and Latin America, with postings in each country's languages. An Armenian app language is being prepared and is not switched on yet.
Amplify reaches more places
Amplify can now publish image posts and Reels to Instagram, send clips to TikTok as drafts, and post to X for churches, ministries and groups, with a monthly budget and no links in X posts. The YouTube connect screen also now explains what to expect from Google's unverified-app notice.
Some of these updates need the latest version of the app, so update SoapBox if you do not see them yet.
