What's New: Week of October 11, 2026
Give by bank account, OXXO cash or QR code, a Journal that always saves, sermon bookmarks, and a redesigned Amplify for churches.
This note covers October 1 to 11. Two app versions, 1.19.22 and 1.19.23, were prepared in that stretch. So most of what follows is coming in the next app update. The website updates the moment a change merges, and this note says where something is already live there.
New ways to give
- US bank account (ACH). Members of US churches can give straight from a bank account. The United States page describes it.
- Cash at OXXO in Mexico. For Mexican churches, a giver can pay in cash at an OXXO store.
- Scan your church's QR code. Pix in Brazil and QR Ph in the Philippines, paid from your own banking app.
As always, gifts are a 0% fee passthrough to the church. SoapBox takes no cut.
Journal, sermons and the Bible
- Your Journal always saves. On iPhone, every Journal button now saves your entry, including from the Bible reader, reading plans and Prayer. If a save fails, your writing stays on screen. On Android, typing a Bible reference fills in the verse, and the Day Streak and Entries count are now correct.
- Bookmark a sermon. Save any sermon and find it again under Saved > Sermons.
- One way into the Bible. On Android, Browse the Bible from Listen now opens the same reader, with Play Chapter right there.
Invite & Earn
You can share your own invite link, and a friend can enter your code when they sign up so the invite counts automatically. The landing page behind those links is already live on the website; sharing from the app comes with the next update.
For church and ministry leaders
- A redesigned Amplify. One guided flow takes you from choosing a sermon or update to approving the posts, with a Posts list to follow what went out. Sermon clips can be carried through to YouTube approval, and a YouTube draft can now be rejected.
- Text your members. Church SMS sends through your church's own SMS account (DARSMS in Tanzania to start), only to members who have opted in.
- Bring your giving history. Import past giving from your old system, and record cash and check gifts by hand, so a member's record is complete.
- Exports and events. Export member and roster lists, and create free event registrations with a public sign-up link.
- Safer YouTube connections. YouTube tokens are now encrypted, and they are revoked when you disconnect or delete your account.
More countries and languages
- The app speaks Tagalog.
- A bigger country picker. All of Latin America, South Korea, Nepal and Pakistan join the list, and country names now show in your own language.
- Amounts read the way you type them. A decimal comma or a thousands separator is understood correctly.
- On the website now. The Tutorials page has Countries and Languages tabs, with how-to videos in many members' own languages, and new country pages cover 14 Latin American countries, Mexico, Brazil, Nepal and the United States. Churches moving from another platform have a Switching tab and side-by-side comparison pages.
