What's New — Week of July 10, 2026
A clearer first run, kinder sign-up, faster Bible browsing, an in-app sermon reader, invites that just work, and more for pastors.
This was a big week, and much of it went into one idea: making SoapBox feel clearer and warmer from your very first tap. Here's what's new.
A gentler first run
New folks now get plain-language copy throughout the app, a clear confirmation the moment they post a prayer, a streak card that explains what it's actually tracking, and a friendly nudge on the giving screen when there's nothing there yet. Less guessing, more welcome.
A simpler, kinder sign-up
Creating an account is easier on the eyes and the nerves. A live password checklist ticks off each requirement as you type — no more wall of red text — and a new length-first policy boils it down to three simple rules instead of a puzzle.
Find your place in the Bible faster
Choosing a book is quicker now. The picker is grouped into plain-language sections, and the book list appears right on the page instead of a pop-up, so you land in the text you came for with fewer taps.
Read sermons and journals right in the app
A new in-app reader lets you open catalog sermons and journals — with proper formatting and headings — without getting bounced out to a browser. We also added a Journals filter and cleaned up book covers so the library looks the way it should.
Invites that just work
Sharing SoapBox with a friend got smoother. Invite links are now tappable in WhatsApp, and when someone installs from your invite, the app takes them straight to your community — no hunting required.
For pastors: lead a church, your way
Believers who are ready to lead now see a clear "Lead a church?" entry point, and the register or claim forms come pre-filled from your profile to save time. You can also switch between pastor and believer views without changing your account, so you can see exactly what your members see.
Smoother all around
Under the hood, we tidied up the More and Profile screens, added a translation picker to the audio Bible, and shipped reliability fixes to phone verification, posting to Connect, and account deletion. Small things that add up to a steadier experience.
Explore faith at your own pace.
SoapBox is a free Bible app with a live prayer wall, daily devotionals, and ORA, an AI study companion that answers questions about faith with grounded, Scripture-cited responses — judgment-free, in 140+ languages. There's a private mode if you're just exploring.
