Members without a smartphone

Some of your members have a basic phone. No smartphone? No apps? No internet? No problem. SoapBox has a place for them too.

Add them to your People list with a name and a mobile number. They need no app and no account.
To reach them by SMS, export your People list with phone numbers from the web app or Android, and send through your church's own SMS provider.

In Portuguese

The app runs in Portuguese, and each member chooses their own language. ORA, SoapBox's study assistant, answers Bible questions in Portuguese, as a research aid for study. It's not a pastor. Posts and reading-plan days are translated into each member's language automatically, and one tap shows the original.

The Bible, free

The Bible reader has Portuguese Bibles such as the Nova Versão Internacional and the Nova Versão Transformadora, all free.

For your church

Upload a sermon, and SoapBox transcribes it. Visitors who check in at the door land in Visitor Follow-up. Your church starts free, for up to a hundred members. Share your invite code on WhatsApp, Facebook, by text message or email, straight from the app.

Light on data

Turn on Data-Light Mode, and on mobile data, photos in posts wait until you tap them. Chapters you've already read stay on your phone.

Questions

Can members give through the app?

Not in Brazil yet.

Is the Almeida (ARA, ARC) in the Bible reader?

Not yet. The Nova Versão Internacional and the Nova Versão Transformadora are there, with other Portuguese translations.

Does SoapBox send the SMS itself?

No. Your church sends through its own SMS provider, using the list you export from SoapBox.

Can I export the list from an iPhone?

Not today. Export it from the web app or the Android app.
